YMCA Hostel & Backpackers

Run by the Gambian YMCA in Kanifing South, this hostel is a rite of passage for backpackers and volunteers passing through the country. Thirty-four single and double rooms share clean facilities; double rooms with private bathroom are also bookable. Rates start at D250 a night (~£3.50), with free WiFi in the common areas and on-site computer training courses if you want to extend your stay.
