Onomo's Dakar Aéroport branch is the practical choice for travellers with a tight connection at Blaise Diagne International (AIBD), ten minutes away with a 24-hour shuttle running to the terminal. The design is contemporary West African — bare concrete, woven panels, local contemporary art — and there's a small pool, a relaxed restaurant and bar, air conditioning and parking. Rooms are compact and soundproofed, which is exactly what you want near an airport, and at around CFA 30,000 they're good value for a comfortable, modern three-star. It's not a destination hotel — central Dakar is a 50-minute drive away — but for an early departure, a late arrival or a layover in the new Diamniadio district, it does its job extremely well. For stress-free nights either side of a flight, it's the sensible pick by the airport.
