The Radisson Blu dominates Dakar's Corniche Ouest — a modern five-star with an infinity pool cantilevered out over the sea, three restaurants and what many rate as the best spa in the city. Rooms above the eighth floor have uninterrupted Atlantic views, and the whole 180-room property is geared to do business and leisure equally well, with a gym, business centre, bar and WiFi throughout. It's popular with corporate travellers during the week, but its seafront setting and facilities make it just as good for a weekend city break, with the Plateau's sights a short taxi away.
